Morgan Faith Day

Our new daughter is here and doing great. She arrived at 2:10 am on November 1st. Weighing 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 19 inches long. Everything was uneventful and I am now enjoying some time in the hospital with just Morgan.

Madison was instantly overjoyed with her little sister. She doesn't want to put her down or leave her baby. We will see how things go as we bring her home and she is always there. But at this point she just wants to hold her all the time. Right now she thinks it is funny when she cries, I am sure that will change:) She loves her baby dolls at home so I am hoping she takes care of them and I don't have to worry about her trying to help too much. She of course isn't super gentle but she is doing very good with Morgan so far.
I am doing good also enjoying the hospital nursery at night so I can sleep. We go home tomorrow and then reality will start. Hoping the transition goes well and we can get a routine down or at least that Madison will keep her schedule. Many changes ahead:)

So much changes in 18 months!!

So I thought I better post one last time before Madison is a big sister. Here are a couple 18 month pictures. She is getting so big and trying to say everything. Her personality is really starting to come out good and bad:) She is very friendly at Meijer, she loves to say hi to everyone she sees while we grocery shop.
We are only weeks away from our second daughter joining us. We are wondering how Madison will react to all the changes. I am thinking I will have to worry the most about her being to interested in the baby. She loves her baby dolls, so I am hoping she just watches and takes care of her babies. I know she is going to be a great big sister, we are looking forward to watching them start to interact.
I am feeling great right now. I have the end of pregancy energy I had with Madison also. So I am trying to get everything done before I get hit with the newborn life again. So here is to a couple of restful weeks!!

Well Madison is going to be a Big Sister!! November 2nd-ish we will welcome home a new baby. We are excited about having a little friend for Madison. We will find out boy or girl in a couple of weeks but hopefully either way they will be good friends. Of course she will probably have no idea what is coming until the day she is not the only child. She is used to little babies in daycare so hopefully this will help in the transition.
I am feeling great, even better than with Madison. Which is awesome and besides my growing stomach I wouldn't know I was pregnant. Which I have to add I am already bigger than with Madison at this time. Hopefully by the end it will even out, I got pretty huge with Madison. I am hoping being pregnant throught the summer will help me stay active and not sit and eat. We have been going on lots of bike rides. Madison usually falls asleep in her trailer. She looks pretty comfy back there as Mike pulls her around. Better him than me :)
Madison is also walking all over now, she was almost 14 months by the time she was really walking good. She doesn't really have any new words. I think she may be saying ball but not sure yet. But she is changing alot lately really getting personality. Good or bad it is fun to watch!
Everyone is good :)

Happy 1st Birthday Madison

Well our baby girl is 1. We had her birthday party with family and friends on February 27th. We found a few weeks prior that she loved taco meat and beans, so we had tacos for her party. Yum!! She loved all the balloons, presents and of course digging into the cake. She had her own little bear and everyone else had a big bear. The cakes turned out great, it was alot of fun to decorate. Aunt Laura helped with icing the cake, it was quite the process.
It was very cute when she opened her presents. She wanted to keep playing with them she didn't get that there were more and needed to keep opening. She got a bunch of clothes for summer and toys.
She has changed so much in her first and we are having so much fun watching her learn so much. I know from watching my nieces and nephews that the second year is just as eventful so we look forward to her keeping us on our toes with all she discovers.

Merry Christmas!!

We were at my parents house the weekend before Christmas for our 1st Christmas celebration. Madison slept through opening presents so she had her own time once she got up. She wasn't too interested in the presents but really enjoyed trying to eat all the wrapping paper. We do Christmas with Mike's side in 2 weeks so more pictures to come.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Now that it is almost Christmas, here are our Thanksgiving pictures. This year it was on the Remer side so we headed to my parents house. There were 14 adults and now with Madison 7 kids under 8. So there was never a dull moment. As you can see Madison enjoyed her first Thanksgiving dinner. She really like the sweet potatoes that Aunt Sarah made. Madison had lots of fun crawling around, she had just started to crawl so she wasn't really fast yet.
Now almost 3 weeks later she is getting everywhere and having lots of fun chasing all the animals. She loves the kitty cats.

Well Madisons 1st Halloween was a cold one. This is us after going trick or treating in the wind and cold. I think it was about 45 degrees out, not so fun. We went out with Madisons cousins in their neighborhood. She was a puppy, as if we don't have enough dogs around :) I had bought this costume at the end of last Halloween and it was a little small. She is tall so she was busting out of it but at least it was warm. She got to try some of the candy but there was alot she couldn't have. So of course I could not let it go to waste. Just one of the perks to her 1st Halloween not sure if it will slide next year.

Ok so I got a new lens and who better to try it out on but Madison. She will forever be my model hopefully she doesn't mind when she can do something about it :) Mike and I brought her downtown Holland today and I took a few pics while we were out. We get lots of compliments on her hat which she really needed as it was pretty cold today. Hopefully I can get somemore pictures when the leaves change more. I love fall!!!

6 Months Old

Ok so a little late but here are her 6 months pictures (taken at 6 months). She is keeping up with her weight at 75% and height 95%. As you can see she is sitting up really well now. Not really any attempts at crawling but she gets around a little on her tummy. Madison is loving sitting up and being able to see everything, riding in the grocery cart has been a fun change for her.
She is now caring more about who is holding her and aware of people around her. I have to say it is a little wierd being the one that can fix anything. I am so used to passing off the crying baby, and not the one being passed the baby because she wants me. So many new things and Mike and I are enjoying seeing her learn and change everyday.

Next is my nephew Austin and me the first day of our camping trip.

Then there is me and Mike relaxing by the fire.

Silver Lake

We went camping with my family for 4 nights at Silver Lake. The sand dunes were alot of fun and Madison had a good time riding on daddy's back. The weather was perfect, just right for climbing dunes but a little cool for the kids swimming. We rode on a dune ride which was lots of fun and went to a light house. I will post more pics of everything. Madison did really good, she got a little bored without her big toys. But she slept good and as long as there was something going on she was happy. We hope to do this every year, which will be lots of fun. There were litterally no bugs, which was sooooooo nice.
Lots of sitting by the fire and eating food. We feel a little large now but we had a great time.

Madison's first 4th of July. Waiting for the fireworks to start. We went to a park in Holland to watch the fireworks. Mike was on call for work so we weren't able to go to the cottage for our normal festivities. It was way past her bedtime but she did really good waiting over an hour for them to start. Once they started she just stared at them the whole time. She had a cute outfit, even some red, white and blue flip flops. Such a spoiled little girl :)

She is now 4 months old, here are some pictures of her first cereal. She wasn't sure about it at first but she is doing much better now. (The marks on her face are from her sunglass'. ) She is getting so big and learning new things constantly. I'll have to add some pictures of her standing. Which has been her favorite for about a month now.

Madison's first stay in a hotel. We went to Colubus Ohio for Mike's sister Kari's wedding. She looks so comfy.

Chillin in daddy's guitar case :) Another cute 3 month picture.

Well we got some 3 month pictures taken. So far she is very photogenic, she better stay that way because she is now my guinea pig :)

Well it is official she is growing like a weed. She went to the doctor yesterday and is now
12.5 lbs. and 24 in. long. She is in the 90th percentile for everything, which is good I was worried she would get my big head :) She is doing good and sleeping pretty much through the night. She gets up around 5 or 6 to eat and then back to bed till 8 or 9. I'll take it, at 9 weeks I wasn't expecting her to sleep this well.
I am currently trying to find a part time daycare in Holland. For when I start cleaning my Holland houses again. I am a little apprehensive about this. I go to interview someone tomorrow night. She sounded nice on the phone so we will see. Hopefully I can find someone I trust.
Well, no new milestones to annouce. We did get a jogging stroller and tried it out yesterday. She liked it much better than just a regular stroller that we have gone for walks with. I know we shouldn't being using it until she is bigger but I think she is fine. She must like moving faster, she didn't cry at all.
